Gilberto & Jackie's Yosemite Proposal at Taft Point
A sunset proposal 7,500 feet above Yosemite Valley.
Gilberto had a plan. Jackie had no idea.
We started the day as a couples session — no pressure, no agenda. Just moving through Yosemite the way you do when you're not trying to make anything happen. We stayed loose, let the light guide where we went next.
Jackie thought she was there for photos.
As the afternoon pushed toward golden hour, we made our way out to Taft Point. The cliffs opened up. The valley dropped away beneath us. El Capitan and Half Dome sat in the distance, catching the last light of the day.
Then Gilberto got down on one knee.
No announcement, no countdown — just a quiet moment at the edge of one of Yosemite's most dramatic overlooks. Jackie said yes at Taft Point, with the whole park spread out behind them. The sun finished setting right after.
We stayed until the sky went dark.
