Bridalveil Fall Yosemite Elopement — Harmony & Gil

A Bridalveil Fall Elopement, Shared With the Six People Who Mattered Most

Harmony and Gil got married on January 31st, 2026, and unlike most of the elopements I document, they didn't do it alone.

We started the morning at Tunnel View, the sky still holding onto its early color, before heading down into the valley toward Bridalveil Fall for the ceremony itself. Six people stood with them — close friends and family, the kind of small group that still feels like an elopement, just one with a few more people who got to witness it in person.

The Ceremony at Bridalveil Fall

There's a particular sound at Bridalveil Fall in late winter — the water still running, the valley quiet enough that you can actually hear it from the ceremony spot. Harmony and Gil stood with the falls behind them and said their vows in front of the six people closest to them, clear skies overhead, the morning light still soft from sunrise.

What stood out most, watching it happen, was how much them came through. Harmony and Gil have this easy, funny, slightly silly energy together — not performative, not playing it up for anyone watching. Just two people who clearly enjoy each other, even in the middle of getting married. It showed up in the photos the same way it showed up in the room: a little playful, completely at ease, exactly who they are as a couple.

The Rest of the Day

After the ceremony, we kept moving. Cook's Meadow next, then Cathedral Meadow — both wide open and quiet that morning, the kind of valley views that don't need much from a photographer beyond getting out of the way.

And then we found our way to a spot I won't name here. Every elopement I shoot in Yosemite, I'm looking for places like this — not on a map, not in anyone's location tag, just a quiet corner of the valley that nobody else seems to know about. Harmony and Gil got one of those, and it's exactly the kind of place that makes a day feel like it belonged only to them, even with six people watching the ceremony.

What Their Day Looked Like

  • Morning: Started at Tunnel View under clear sunrise skies

  • Ceremony: Bridalveil Fall, with six close friends and family present

  • Mid-morning: Cook's Meadow and Cathedral Meadow

  • Closing: A hidden, unnamed corner of the valley

Not every elopement needs to be just the two of you. Harmony and Gil's day proves that — six people, four locations, and still entirely theirs.

Thinking about a Yosemite elopement with a few people by your side?

Whether it's just the two of you or a small group of the people who matter most, I'll handle the permit, the timing, and the plan — so the only thing you have to think about is the day itself.
