Adventure elopement photography packages & planning — built around your day, not a template.

Designed to feel less like a wedding and more like the greatest trip you've ever taken together. Every location. Every moment. Completely yours.

HEY, I’M ARMANDO

I don't just photograph your day — I help you live it.

I'm an adventure + wilderness elopement photographer & planner. I work solo, shoot hybrid digital + 35mm film, and create cinematic films you'll relive for years. I handle every permit, timeline, and logistics detail so your only job on the day is to show up and be present.

Every couple I work with gets a day built entirely around them — the locations, the light, the pace. Nothing repeated. Nothing rushed.

Armando

THIS PAGE IS FOR YOU IF …

You're not planning a wedding. You're planning an experience.

You'd rather be on a trail

Your dream day involves hiking boots at some point. You want a location that earns its place in your photos — a ridge, a canyon, a shoreline that actually means something to you.

You're traveling to get here

Destination couples are my specialty. I handle the location research, permits, and logistics so you don't have to figure it all out from another state or country. You plan the trip. I plan the day.

You're camera-nervous

You've said "we're so awkward in photos" — every couple does. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive. By the time the ceremony starts, most couples forget I'm there. That's when the real photos happen.

You're done with tradition

No seating charts. No 150-person guest list. No timeline driven by a caterer. Just you two, the wilderness, and a day that actually reflects who you are — not what a wedding is supposed to look like.

Eloping was made for the couple who looks at a mountain and sees a wedding venue.

It means trading the ballroom for the backcountry — the guest list for golden hour, the reception hall for a ridgeline at sunset.

It's choosing a day that actually sounds like you. That feels like you. That you'll spend the rest of your lives talking about — not just looking back at photos of.

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT

Every detail is designed so that you can be present.

This isn't just photography. It's a fully guided experience — built around your vision, managed from the first message to the last delivered frame.

01

Candid, natural photography

so that you can actually live your day

I guide without directing. There's no "okay now look at each other" — instead I give you space to move through your day and watch for the moments that happen in between. The result is a gallery that looks like you, not a styled shoot. Shy couples especially — this approach makes the camera disappear.

02

Hybrid digital + 35mm film, plus cinematic films

so that you can have something that feels like memory — and relive it

Digital captures everything. Film captures how it felt. I shoot both — the full edited digital gallery alongside analog 35mm film that comes back warm, soft, and grainy in a way no filter can replicate. And I create cinematic films, too, so you can actually relive your day — the movement, the sound, the moments a still can't hold. Film and motion are included in The Adventure and above, and available as add-ons for smaller packages.

03

Full planning support

so that you can stop Googling and start looking forward to it

Location scouting, permit research and applications, light timing, crowd avoidance, a custom day-of timeline — all handled before your day. Most couples who reach out have no plans yet. That's exactly where I start. You tell me what you want to feel. I build the rest.

04

Solo presence

so that your day stays intimate and unhurried

No crew, no second shooters, no chaos. Just me — one calm, quiet presence who's completely focused on your day from first light to last frame. In the wilderness, that matters. A crew changes the energy of a moment. One person who knows what they're doing doesn't.

HOW IT WORKS

Working together is simple.

No complicated booking process, no pressure. Here's exactly what happens from the moment you reach out.

Say hello

You reach out

Send me a message with whatever you've got — a season, a feeling, a place you've been dreaming about. No date or plan required. I'll reply personally within 24 hours and we'll set up a call to talk it through.

We plan it together

I build your day

Once you book, I take it from there — locations, permits, light timing, and a custom day-of timeline built around the two of you. You'll always know what's next, and you can ask me anything along the way.

Show up & live it

You're present

On the day, your only job is to be in it. I guide gently, capture quietly, and handle the logistics. Sneak peeks land within a few days, and your full gallery and films follow soon after.

WHAT A FULL DAY LOOKS LIKE

A sample Yosemite elopement day.

No two days look the same — but here's what an 8-hour elopement in Yosemite could feel like from start to finish. This is the kind of day we'd build together.

Getting ready at your accommodation

Getting dressed together, detail shots — rings, vows, flowers. Quiet getting-ready portraits while the morning light is soft.

7:00 am

First look

Private moment before anyone else is around. Just the two of you — unhurried, unwitnessed.

8:00 am

Drive into Yosemite Valley

Early entry means no crowds. Tunnel View stop for the first iconic valley panorama while the light is still golden.

8:30 am

Valley floor portraits

El Capitan and Half Dome as your backdrop. Wandering, laughing, taking it all in — real moments, not direction.

9:15 am

Hike to ceremony location

Off the main trail, away from day-trippers. A meadow, a granite overlook, a spot that feels like it was made for this.

11:00 am

Ceremony

Vows, rings, first dance if you want it. No script, no audience, no one watching but the mountains.

12:00 pm

Picnic lunch in the wilderness

You brought the food. I capture the unscripted joy of eating together in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

12:45 pm

Second location — Glacier Point or Mariposa Grove

Different terrain, different mood, different light. We plan this around what you love.

2:30 pm

Golden hour portraits

The light Yosemite is famous for. Warm, directional, magic. This is when the 35mm film earns its place.

4:30 pm

Coverage ends

You stay and watch the sunset. Sneak peeks within a few days.

5:30 pm

FAQ

Things couples ask before they reach out.

  • It's actually the best place to start. Most couples who reach out have no plans at all — just a feeling. Turning that feeling into a day is exactly what I do. Tell me what you want to feel and I'll handle the rest.

  • Yes — and destination couples are my specialty. Location research, permit applications, light timing, crowd patterns, backup plans — all handled before you arrive. You plan the trip. I plan the day.

  • Digital captures everything. Film captures how it felt. The warmth, the grain, the softness of analog is something no preset or filter can replicate. It's the difference between a photo you look at and one you feel.

  • Every single couple says this. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive — I'm not directing a shoot, I'm just present while you experience your day. By the ceremony, most couples have completely forgotten I'm there. That's when the real photos happen.

  • We work with it — and it usually makes for better photos. Dramatic clouds, moody skies, light breaking through after a storm — that's what wilderness elopements look like when they're real. I always have a backup plan ready.

  • It's genuinely built into how I work — not a line item. Permit research and applications, a custom timeline around your date and light, location guidance specific to your wilderness destination. You won't be figuring out logistics on your own.
