Most photographers hand you a contract and show up on the day. I do something different. When you book with me, you're getting someone who has navigated every permit office, scouted every trail, and helped couples plan their day in some of the most logistically complex landscapes in the American West — Yosemite's NPS permit system, Sedona's Coconino National Forest requirements, Tahoe's split California/Nevada jurisdiction. You don't need a separate wedding planner. The planning is part of what I do.
The Process
Here's what working together looks like:
You reach out — Tell me where you're dreaming of and when. No pressure, no commitment.
We talk it through — A quick call to get to know each other and map out your vision.
I handle the planning — Permits, timeline, location details. I've done this before so you don't have to figure it out.
Your day — You focus on each other. I focus on everything else.
Your gallery — Fully edited and delivered within 3–4 weeks.
Serving South Lake Tahoe and traveling to:
Yosemite National Park — Permit guidance included. Ceremony permits required; I'll help you navigate the process.
Sedona, Arizona — Red Rock Pass areas and Coconino National Forest. I know which spots work and what's needed.
Oregon — State parks, coast, and forest locations. Special use permits handled with your plan.
Travel fees: No travel fees for packages 6 hours and up within the US. Shorter packages and international destinations — ask me and I'll give you a straight answer.
FAQ
A few questions I hear a lot.
Do I need to know exactly where I want to elope before reaching out?
Not at all. Most couples have a general feeling — "somewhere wild," "near water," "golden and warm." That's enough. We'll figure out the specifics together.
Yes. Tahoe, Yosemite, Sedona, and the Oregon Coast are locations I know well and photograph regularly. Travel fees may apply depending on your date and location.
Do you travel to all four locations?
Can you help us plan our entire elopement, not just take photos?
Yes — and this is honestly the part I'm most proud of. Every package includes location selection, full permit guidance, day-of timeline building, officiant referrals, and travel advice. I work with couples remotely from the first inquiry through your wedding day so nothing falls through the cracks.
Yes — permit research and guidance is included in every elopement package. Yosemite requires an NPS Special Use Permit ($150 fee, paid separately); I'll walk you through the process.
Can you help with permits?
What if we're awkward in front of cameras?
Everyone says this. Genuinely — everyone. My job is to guide you through moments that feel natural, not to direct a photoshoot. By the time your ceremony starts, you'll have forgotten I'm there.
What should we consider when choosing an elopement photographer who also offers planning services?
Look for someone who has physically scouted your location — not just photographed there, but who knows where to park, how long the hike takes, what permits are required, and what time the light hits. Ask if planning support is actually included or if it's an upsell. With me, it's included. I've personally scouted Emerald Bay, Taft Point, Cathedral Rock, and Cannon Beach — I know what makes each one work and what couples wish they'd known ahead of time.
